A tribute to his mentor Helen Keane, the album is titled “We Remember Helen”. It features Roger’s long time musical partner David Finck on bass, and a stellar guest artist, drummer Lewis Nash. A collection of Roger’s favorite standards, it ranges from Gospel to Bill Evans, with more than one romantic chestnut thrown in the mix. Out on Soundbrush Records in April 2012.

Roger in Rio!

We just finished mixing the 28 songs of Roger Davidson recorded this past summer in Rio De Janeiro. The tracks are sizzling hot, with the best musicians in Rio cooking up on Roger’s tunes. The empathy between these musicians and the sense of joy is palpable in every song. The sound is exquisite and after working with ace engineer Roy Hendrickson at Avatar Studio G in New York City we are getting ready for a 2012 release.
